NXT July 24th Review: The Girls show what they can do, yet Brie Bella's nipple still gets more attention

On this week's NXT we are going to be “treated” to Sheamus wrestling on the show. Besides that for the life of me I can't remember what was advertised for this week's show, I believe a model guy is wrestling as well. Let's see if I'm right.
Show opens with a video highlighting the finals of the NXT Women's title tournament that is also happening on this show, I'm now hyped for it. The video has both girls doing interviews about the finals, a really nice opening video and I hope that match main events the show. Oh joy the team of Tom and Brad are on commentary and this match is opening the show.
Emma vs. Paige in the finals to crown NXT Women's champion: Emma comes outs dancing, did you know she was trained by Lance Storm! Paige gets a massive reaction when she comes out. In ring introductions for this match to make it that bit more important. I'm still not a big fan of that belt design but still not like I have to wear it. Tie up to start with them trading positions, back and fourth chants from the crowd. Emma gets sweeped for a 1, she attempts her own and Paige avoids it but gets snapmared down for a 1 and go back to the tie up straight into a headlock by Paige. Paige gets a shoulder block for a 1, both escape slam attempts leading to Emma getting a school girl for a 2, super fast paced to start. Emma escapes to the apron when whipped into the corner to get the slide in sunset flip for a 2, Emma then drives Paige down with an arm twister and then locks on a hammerlock. Paige keeps going for the hair leading to her rolling out and hitting a headbut for a 2. Backslide attempt but Emma runs into the ropes and locks in the DilEMMA which is the tarantula in a very nice spot but Paige gets a kick to the gut when Emma comes in leading to her falling to the outside and a break. We come back to Paige in control with a chinlock, Brad brings up this is a clear main event I fully agree, Paige transitions to a surfboard and rolls up in a crucifix pin. Brad then claims Paige started training at 3 years old he gets corrected being told she was 13 and then slurs his words when saying “second generation” and they have this guy as a talking on Raw! Paige hits a very nice fisherman suplex for a 2, she then snapmares Emma into the corner and lays in some boots for a 2 and she goes for another pin after that kick out. Emma reverses Paige into the corner, Paige attempts a back elbow but Emma pulls her down and follows up with a low cross body into the corner for a near fall. Paige goes for the sunset flip but Emma sits down for a pin but gets rolled up for a 2, similar to how she advanced to the finals. Emma pops up with some boots and locks on a rear chinlock. Paige finally fights back after about a minute but gets cut off with a back elbow. Emma gets a rear bearhug I guess, not a move I would have gone with, Paige drives her back and hits a series of back elbows she then grabs the boot when Emma goes for a kick and drags her to the mat and locks in a version of the cloverleaf they're really milking this spot until Emma kicks off and gets a small package for a 2, she then attempts the Emma lock but Paige slides out to the apron. Emma reaches through but gets headbutted and a series of knees leading to Paige climbing to the top rope but Emma catches her and hits a superplex, these girls are working super hard and the fans chant “This is Awesome” got a friend who may have a problem with that chant. Emma goes for the pin but Paige gets her foot on the rope at 2 and it was the leg Emma hooked so I liked , they often telegraph that spot but not here. Paige gets a low kick when lifted up and another leading to the Paige turner for the win. These girls got some time and worked super hard, I've said before that only in NXT can the divas so how good they can be. The other divas come out to congratulate Paige and it should be noted it's more than 4 (look at when TNA did this a few weeks back). Then Triple H's music plays and I'm worried he's going to pedigree her and take the title, he raises Paige's arm and she seems legit emotional here. I don't get why Triple H was brought out here but they're really pushing this as a massive moment. Winner and NXT Women's champion: Paige
For some reason Sheamus is facing Luke Harper tonight, I would have done Bray. We get a vignette from Zeb Colter and Antonio Cesaro. Zeb claims Sami Zayn may not be an American, they ran a background check and found nothing. They're going to find out who he really is and brings up the fact he wore a mask (El Generico) and claims he's a Mexican who creeped into the country illegally and they're going to have him deported. Cesaro adds in that they're going to make Zayn's entire life a nightmare. I loved this, Zeb has added so much to Cesaro.
Angelo Dawkins vs. Tyler Breeze: Oh Donald Glover's back to job. Tyler comes out and all I can think is “Hey he has tassels like the British Bulldog”, he then pulls a face and uses an iPhone to take a photo, this is going to be a winner I bet *he says rolling his eyes*. Tyler is just staring at this phone and himself, this makes me beg the question why would a suppose male model be willing to wrestle where he could be punched in the face repeatedly. Tyler won't put down his phone, this is Fandango all over again and beyond cheap heat. The bell rings and he still won't put down the phone, finally Dawkins jumps him but Tyler comes back quickly with clubbing blows. Dawkins gets a couple of roll ups and Tyler goes back to clubbing blows and kicks, then back to the phone. He hits a spinning heel kick for the win, he didn't do much and he didn't look good. Winner: Tyler Breeze
A vignette for the Ascension plays, they say it's time for them to reduce our heros to ashes and they will rise again. Sadly Up next plays during it so I've got to watch them. An advert for WWEshop.com plays with John Cena saying he's out of gear, which is a complete lie if he did run out of t-shirts I'm sure the company have 5 more lined up to release.
The Ascension (Conor O'Brian & Rick Victor) vs. Mikey Keegan & Aiden English: Wow the jobbers get music, well aren't they special. Aiden and Conor to start, Conor hits a series of shoulder blocks and tags to Rick. Conor lifts up Aiden in a double chicken wing and Rick hits a chop, why he needed to be lifted for that I don't know. Rick hits a series of chops and Euorpean's and then a modified firemen's carry slam. A double team by the ascension when Conor is tagged, a splash in the corner and a tag. Rick hits a bushido knee and the duo hits the “H”-Bomb and another tag leading to a version of Total Elimination (just a back elbow instead of a kick) for the win. Meh I didn't care and neither did the crowd, these 2 are all look. Winners: The Ascension
An advert for Total Divas play, still don't care one bit. We then see that Bo Dallas & Sami Zayn will face Cesaro & Kruger next week if it's mostly Cesaro and Zayn doing the work I'm hyped for this.
Sheamus vs. Luke Harper: Not much of a pop for Sheamus here. Tie up to start with them trading positions into the ropes, we get a “yeah yeah yeah yeah” form Harper. Sheamus tries for a headlock take down and fails, Luke then knocks down Sheamus with a shoulder block, Sheamus comes back with a arm ringer and headlock, he gets a shoulder block and Luke goes outside. Luke comes back in and Sheamus does a single leg takedown and some boots, Luke blocks the corner and throws Sheamus into it, hits an uppercut and Europeans. A lot of trading shots here with some mean sounding blows. Sheamus avoids a backbody drop and gets Luke on the apron where he hits his clubbing blows on Luke but Eric jumps up and gets clubbed as well leading to Luke getting a forearm and Eric hits a clothesline with the ref distracted. We go to break, coming back and Luke is in control. Luke hits a running elbow in the corner and then stands on Sheamus' head on the mat. Eric gets another shot in and Luke grabs a chinlock. A very brief comeback but is driven back down with the chinlock. They get back up and trade shots leading to Sheamus hitting a powerslam for a double down. Back up and more trading shots leading to Shemaus getting the offensive and a knee lift, fans aren't into this much. Luke gets the Black Hole Slam for a 2, Luke then misses a splash from the second rope. Sheamus hits a rolling firemen's carry for a 2, he then gets caught on the top rope but he fights back and jumps over Luke, he misses the Brogue Kick and gets hit with the twisting clothesline for a 2. Luke hits a splash in the corner, goes for another but Sheamus gets the boot up he knocks down Eric and hits the White Noise, fans are getting into Sheamus now and he hits the Brogue Kick for the win with Bray laughing on the ramp. Show close with the Wyatt's leaving and Sheamus celebrating. I wasn't that big a fan of this match, it wasn't awful but I was expecting a bit more. Winner: Sheamus
Honestly this was a one match show for me but what a match. The girls really outshined the guys here and they made that feel the most important thing to happen. Emma and Paige put on not only a great divas match but a great match in general. So I recommend watching the beginning of this show and then maybe fade out a little.

NXT July 17th Review: A Big Night Feel

On the last episode of NXT this weeks episode was pretty much laid out for us. We'll be seeing Bayley against debuting Charlotte (Flair), a match I'll hate in Bo Dallas vs. Scott Dawson and a match I'll likely love in Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Leo Kruger to name a no.1 contender to the NXT title.
Leo Kruger vs. Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro: A big way to open the show I would have put this on in the main event. Cesaro getting a big pop when he comes out, his in ring skill speaks louder than anything else in my view fans even join in with the “We the People”. Sami got a good pop as well and Leo got nothing, keep this in mind as I think they'll pick Leo to win this but lets see this. Cesaro jumps on Sami from the get go and pushes Leo away, Sami then floats over Cesaro and armdrags Leo and then Cesaro. Follows with a dropkick to Leo and Sami attacks Cesaro but he cuts him off with knees and as Cesaro is choking with his boot Leo throws him over the top and hits a hammerlock suplex to Sami. Leo starts attacking Sami's arm and is constantly looking back for Cesaro this lets Sami reverse an Irish whip which leads to Cesaro grabbing Leo and just yacking him to the outside. Sami hits a beautiful tope con heelio to both men leading to a break. We come back with Sami hitting a boot to Cesaro on the outside and the fans chanting “Ole”. Cesaro blocks a snapmare and hits a European uppercut, Sami gets put on the apron and attempts a top rope cross body but Cesaro catches him and turns it into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker in a very impressive spot but Leo breaks up the pin. We get the typical face off in a triple threat match when someone breaks a pin during which the fans chant “We the people” this ends with both men trading shots and Sami rolling up Leo for a 2. Cesaro hits a sick sounding European uppercut. Sami's in the corner and attempts a boot to Leo who grabs him in a clutch and Cesaro comes from behind leading to a double suplex spot which looked awesome and got a massive reaction and a “That was Awesome”. Cesaro deadlifts Leo up and out of the ring and locks in the rear chinlock to Sami which leads to lifting up Sami and spinning around, this leads to an attempted Neutralizer but Leo hits a clothesline from behind and gets 2 on both men. Leo attempts a Northern Lights but Sami blocks and ducks a clothesline by Cesaro leading to a DDT/flatliner to both men. Sami starts fighting back against both men with rights and sends Leo into Cesaro gets an O'Conor roll for 2 and as he's kicked out walks straight into Cesaro who pushes him up into the air but is caught in a Hurricanrana for a really close fall. Leo gets sent to the outside by Sami but Cesaro gets the Neutralizer and Leo throws out Cesaro for the win. A fantastic match but the wrong guy won in my view, I don't think anyone will care for Bo/Leo but there was reports of a 2 out of 3 falls match between Sami & Cesaro which is said to be amazing so I'm hyped for that. Winner: Leo Kruger
Scott Dawson vs. Bo Dallas: Speaking of not caring. The awful Sylvester LaForte comes out to introduce Dawson, I don't know what happened to Garrett but I'd be fine if they both disappeared. Regal says Dawson is like a throwback and if he was losing his hair he'd look like an Anderson. Bo comes out to extremely loud boos and acting like his typical over the top babyface character which is beyond sickening. I'll try keeping up with this match but I really don't care one bit. Tie up to start Dawson attacks with strikes because that's all he does. Bo with 2 bad dropkicks and a crossbody but Dawson back with a clothesline, leg drop, knee drop and elbow drop. Think of a strike and Dawson will do it but don't think too flashy. Headlock by Dawson with Bo fights back and reverses a back body drop. Starts fighting back with forearms and his boot to the side of the head to silence. Bo hits Raven's turnbuckle clothesline/bulldog combo and a disgustingly bad belly to belly for the win, which is worse since that's HIS FINISHER! I don't know what WWE see in either men but they don't have anything. I don't get why they don't turn Bo, I understand someone like Cena since he's so important in the company but Bo means nothing so turn him heel and ride out the boos. After Leo attacks to small cheers and hits a side neckbreaker, he grabs the title and cuddles it to “Thank you Kruger” chants. Winner: Bo Dallas
Bayley vs. Charlotte: No backstage stuff so far and all advertised matches have happened so I wonder how they'll close the show. Also why don't divas get last names in WWE? Ric Flair comes out to a massive reaction, I thought for a second they were giving his daughter his music which would have been a massive mistake in my view she's gonna struggle to overcome his legacy anyways just look at David! Ric asks if he's in Orlando, Florida that could be for a cheap pop or a legit question knowing Flair. He mentions his past in this past and how he loves it. He feels honoured for being at NXT and he respects the locker room but he's really proud to be here to introduce his daughter and he's going to support her and that she'll be the greatest Flair offspring which she has a good chance at since the untimely passing of Reid. Charlotte showing some flexibility and gymnastic skills during her entrance. Charlotte “Woos” to begin, might as well play of it. During the tie up Tony Dawson mentions that the Wyatt's defending the tag titles against Neville & Graves is the main event, a very packed show. Charlotte and Bayley exchange arm ringers leading to Charlotte doing a beautiful cartwheel through. Charlotte ducks a clothesline with the splits and rolls up Bayley and floats over in a beautiful sequence, she knows how to use her outside skills to her advantage. Bayley gets a double leg float over, a backslide and a cradle for a 2. Ric takes off his jacket to show he's serious. Bayley gets a kick to the gut and a suplex for a 2. Charlotte does her version of the Flair float over the ropes and sends Bayley into the turnbuckle. Charlotte hits a iffy flying forearm but then a gorgeous flipping low ace crusher for the win. Charlotte is really good and has a great style, Ric looks like he's legit emotional. If Charlotte keeps things up I think she'll do great things. Winner: Charlotte
You know how I said there has been no backstage stuff well I wished it has stayed that way as we go backstage to Sheamus! It takes 2 seconds for a fella to come out of his mouth, he says he's excited to compete next week more than when he had his first pint. Thankfully before he could get going the Wyatt's attack. Bray leans over him and says “It takes one stone to bring a giant to his knees, now you tell him I said follow the buzzards”. Looks like Bray/Sheamus next week. Still backstage this time with someone called Tyler Breeze, he has his back to the camera says he's a model and won't let the camera see his face while he's being worked on by a team and says next week they'll witness gorgeous. We will also see the finals of the NXT women's title tournament next week.
Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Eric Rowen) (c) vs. Corey Graves & Adrian Neville for the NXT tag titles: I don't know if Kassius Ohno is legit injured or not but I would have preferred him in this match, still that's a minor complaint seeing his replacement. In ring introductions which I always love as it gives off that big match feel, the only thing missing is Michael Buffer. Luke gets a knee to Corey to start but he floats over and hits a series of strikes and a hanging guillotine. He then pulls Luke out and continues the attack, tag to Neville and the duo do a version of the Hardy's Poetry in Motion. Luke fights back and a tag, Eric with headbuts but there's a blind tag leading to a dropkick to Eric while he's scooped up Neville. Eric attempts a shoulder block but misses luckily it was his corner so a tag occurred but Luke is hit with punches the second he gets in and Corey hits a series of dragon screw leg whips. Eric comes in and Neville hits a springboard dropkick. Corey attempts his chop block but Luke hits a mean looking boot for a 2. We come back from break with Eric having Corey in a head vice, he drives Corey into the corner and tags to Luke who hits some nice strikes leading to a tag back out. Eric locks in a bearhug after a brief double team, Eric hits an elbow after a brief comeback. Tag to Luke and 3 elbows for a 2 leads to a crossface chicken wing but Corey comes back with a sunset flip but he then eats a nice dropkick which impressed Regal a lot. Tag back to Eric who locks on an abdominal stretch, Corey then floats over a scoop slam and is trying to make the tag but Eric has hooked his pants and pulls him back into a clothesline. Luke back in and he whips Corey into the corner which allows him to nail Eric and fight back against Luke but he runs into a Black Hole Slam for a 2. Corey is whipped into the corner and Luke attempts a big boot but misses and flies over the top rope letting Corey get a very hot tag to Neville. Neville and Eric in with Neville hitting flying forearms, he jumps over the rope onto the apron and hits a high kick, Luke goes for a sweep of the legs but he jumps over hits a kick and runs off the apron with a nice hurricanrana. Eric runs at him but he pulls the rope down leading to an incredible top rope springboard moonsault to the outside, both his outside moves he lands on his feet with is very impressive. He brings Eric back in and hits a 2nd rope Phoenix Splash but Luke breaks it up. Neville goes up again but Luke distracts the ref letting Bray crotch him on the turnbuckle but only gets a 2. Sheamus comes out to attack to Bray and throws him into the steps. Corey runs in with his chopblock and Neville hits the Red Arrow for the win. A massive reaction to the win and it was a fantastic match, Regal was phenomenal on commentary during this match and you had to take the titles off the Wyatt's since their now in WWE. Winners and new Champions: Corey Graves & Adrian Neville
Every match outside of the awful Bo/Dawson match had a big match feel to it or at least an importance to it. Charlotte had a strong debut, the triple threat opener was awesome and we have new tag champs. We also got plenty lined up for next week with Bray vs. Sheamus, the finals of the Women's tournament and a debut of some random model guy. Really good show and watching going out of your way to check it out, but you don't have to as I post a link with this as I'm so kind.

NXT July 10th 2013: Showing it's Best, well Mostly.

Before I start this week’s NXT review I’d like to mention that I was a big fan of the Wyatt family’s debut on Raw, I think fans are backlashing it because they feel they should. I’ve heard a lot of “Bray shouldn’t replace Kane in the money in the bank match it’s too soon” when in my opinion it’s not at all, no one has said he’s going in it or that he’s winning it. If you put him in there and show him as a threat you’ve made a big star or at least helped push him and with WWE as it is they need more big stars so why not try it, the whole trio is a unique thing in WWE so run with it. With that said let’s start this week’s NXT.
Summer Rae vs. Emma in Semi-Finals of NXT Women’s title tournament: Starting off the show with a match and my heart sunk when I heard Brad Maddox on commentary, why did they make him GM except to punish us. The fans popped big for Emma, she is really over and hopefully that would translate if she gets called up. During Emma’s entrance Rae looks at an imaginary watch and says “Come on” a fair point I guess. Tie up to start with the 2 breaking off and Rae yelling “You wanna go?” this is followed by a face plant and an awful pin from Rae that didn’t even look like a pin. Lots of choking from Rae but she gets a suplex for a 2 followed by a leg drop on the arm. Rae is yelling abuse at Emma while she has an arm stretch on, I said this last time with Rae but she’s a great heel. The arm stretch lasts quite some time and Emma fights out to get a school girl but is then cut off with a drop kick and Rae locks on a chinlock. Emma uses her butt to fight out, Rae runs into the corner with Emma escaping to the apron and getting a sunset flip for a 2 followed by a drop toe hold into the turnbuckle and a low crossbody for a near fall. Rae attempts a sunset flip Emma sits down for a 2, Rae then rolls through for a 2 and Emma rolls through that for the 3 count to a big pop. So we have Emma vs. Paige in the finals. Emma dances but Rae attacks from behind leading to Paige making the save. The 2 women have a face off and Emma ends it by dancing. Interesting they didn’t do Paige/Rae in the finals since they had a program in the past but I like this match as well. As for the match itself it was a good match and the divas really shine when on NXT. Winner: Emma
The main event for the show is William Regal, Adrian Neville & Corey Graves vs. the Wyatt family in a 6 man tag. And next we get Sami Zayn vs. Leo Kruger. But before that we get another advert for RVD’s return this Sunday, I’m glad they’ve left it until the PPV for his return they’ve built it well. Backstage we see Dusty Rhodes with a Bayley talking about how his ring has the WWE logo on it. Dusty says the she has energy and asks why she wanted to hug Alicia Fox. She says she was just excited to be in WWE, she stops talking as Ric Flair and his daughter Charlotte enter the room. The match is made between Bayley and Charlotte for next week, Bayley then asks for a woo which Ric gives and she then does her own.
Sami Zayn vs. Leo Kruger: Sami is still getting “Ole” from the crowd, give it time and that will die down I think. Chants for Sami when the bell is rung, he’s got over really fast to no surprise. Leo goes for a single leg but Sami floats over and gets a school boy for a 1. Brad brings up the “Ole” chants saying that Sami is from Canada so the fans are confused. Match is pretty much Sami out wrestling Kruger at the start so this leads to Kruger getting the advantage with a kick and then puts on a headlock. Leo gets a shoulder block which somehow results in a reply, we come back to Sami getting a series of arm drags and then the 10 corner punches in English but Leo carries him out to an atomic drop but Leo then eats a leg lariat. Leo is on the outside and Sami attempts a suicide dive but he eats a forearm leading to a break. Back from break Leo is attack Sami in the corner with strikes and he then gets a nice snap suplex for a 2. Leo hammerlocks the arm and starts dropping knees on it. Sami floats over Leo in the corner and runs off the ropes into a beautiful spinebuster by Leo, Arn Anderson like, for a 2. Leo goes to the 2nd rope and misses a Bret Hart style elbow. Sami gets up and comes back with 2 clotheslines and a dropkick for a 2, Leo then eats an elbow in the corner and Sami jumps from the 2nd to the top rope and hits a crossbody for a 2. Sami then hits a knee as he runs into the corner, Leo throws Sami shoulder first into the post and locks on a Fujiwara armbar but Sami gets the rope. Sami floats over a bodyslam attempts but Leo hits a series of elbows as Sami attempts a back suplex and as Leo tries to run off he’s pulled back into a Blue Thunder bomb for a near fall by Sami. Sami gets caught on the top rope and Leo hits a top rope superplex. Leo hits an arm DDT and locks on the GC3 for the tap out win. What a great match and it didn’t hurt Sami one bit for losing. Winner: Leo Kruger
Backstage with Renee interviewing Regal, Neville and Graves. She asks if tonight will end the feud with the Wyatt family. Neville says it’s just a taste of what they have in store for them and apparently Graves & Neville are now getting the tag title shot Graves & Ohno won. Graves says he’s heard a lot of talk and tonight his fists are doing the talking. Regal starts by saying Renee is lovely making her giggle, he puts on a Neville’s accent for some fun and then says the best thing the Wyatt’s can do is take the beating and stay down. We then get an advert for the War Games DVD, it would be interesting to see if WWE picked up the concept if the DVD sells well. We then get an ad for Total Divas which I still don’t care about on bit.
Mason Ryan vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy: I groaned seeing Ryan come out, he’s just awful and he stares at the hard camera and yells while flexing he looks so stupid. Enzo cuts a promo saying last week was a fluke  he ends saying 1 + 1 = 3.14 time to eat your pie. I’m more interested in Enzo than Ryan or Colin and so is the crowd.  Ryan attacks Colin and Enzo jumps on his back, he’s flipped off and Colin attacks from behind. The duo get the advantage but get knocked down with a double shoulder block. Ryan hits a corner clothesline on Colin and scoops up Enzo but he’s hit with a big boot and Enzo gets a 2. The duo then just attack Ryan and he fights back scoops up Colin but gets chop blocked and gets pinned. What a weak finish and a bad match but at least it wasn’t long. Winners: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy
An advert for Money in the Bank looking at Henry’s retirement angle which was simply fantastic but that match won’t be at all. Backstage Dusty Rhodes talks about how he loves being in his role and talks about last week’s main event and makes a triple threat match to name a No.1 Contenders match between Sami Zayn, Leo Kruger & Antonio Cesaro for next week which should be great.
Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatts, Luke Harper & Eric Rowen) vs. William Regal, Adrian Neville & Corey Graves: The family come out with Bray cutting a promo he says his heart bleeds for them and no matter what they do they keep coming back and fighting, he thinks within time they will realise this was a mistake and they will see him as a wolf. A nice promo as always from Bray but during it there was the odd “Husky Harris” chant which I don’t get since he’s transformed himself so well and it’s been years since he was that guy, some fans are just dicks really. Eric and Neville start and Neville strikes result in nothing, a low leg kick and a drop kick does some damage and this leads to Regal getting tagged in and he rocks Eric with forearms and knees leading to Graves getting tagged. They didn’t leave the corner until Graves was tagged in, Graves gets knocked down by a shoulder block and Luke gets tagged in and hits a nice right hand to the body. Cory floats over really nicely on a bodyslam attempt and does a hanging guillotine over the rope. Regal does a series of back kicks and Neville does the same. The Family go to the outside to gather themselves. We go to break showcasing 3 matches for next week and I wanted to shoot my screen when Bo Dallas vs. Scott Dawson was shown. We come back to see Luke has the advantage on Neville but Neville moonsaults over him, gets a low dropkick and then a low kick. Luke pushes him to the ropes and Bray gets a clothesline and a tag, he does a seated senton and a tag to Luke. Luke gets a European and does his “Yeah yeah yeah” which the fans have grabbed. A back elbow for a 2, Luke really comes off as the work horse in this trio every time I see a match like this he’s in there the majority of the time. Eric gets the tag and a massive bodyslam for a 2. A knee by Eric followed by another and his pumphandle back breaker, a trademark of his. Eric puts his boot on Neville’s head and locks in a single leg crab, he lets go and hits an elbow. Bray gets tagged and hits some headbutts but misses a corner splash, Neville fights back and attempts a crucifix but is dropped for a 2. Luke back in and Neville gets a jawbreaker, he tries to jump over for the tag but is hit with a spinebuster. Luke attempts a suplex but Neville gets a knee to the head and a school boy, he gets a kick to the head from the ground and finally tags in Regal but hits a series of forearms and then knees. Regal gets an exploder suplex and attacks the other 2 members and hits the trembler to Luke but Eric makes the saves and Graves takes him to the outside leading to Neville hitting the Sasuke special. Bray gets the tag and hits Sister Abigal for the 3. I was expecting more fight from Regal here but that a side this was a really good match which is usually with these guys, also the pin on Regal helps build Bray that bit more. The show then ends with Bray posing in the ring. Winners: The Wyatt Family
Overall this show was great outside of the one short hiccup *cough* Mason Ryan *cough* I can’t think of anything I didn’t like, tons was set up for next week’s show and everything in the ring was really solid. Its shows like this that illustrates why I love NXT so much.

NXT 3rd July 2013: Please No More BO!

Last week on NXT stuff happened, most important was the tease of William Regal feuding with Bray Wyatt. Not much if anything was set up for this week’s show so let us see what we get.
My video opens with the “don’t try this at home” warning but in French, if this keeps up I’ll hear it in every language. We then go straight to Renee Young in the back who welcomes Bo Dallas and I groan. Smiling like an idiot while wearing a plain NXT shirt. Renee questions what Bolievers mean and he then steals Bret Hart’s phrase of the Best there is etc. He says he wrestled at Mania with Renee pointing out it wasn’t even the pre-show. He talks about his challengers earning the shot at his title. Antonio Cesaro interrupts and says it was given to him and he earned everything he’s got. He says that Bo is a young punk who is bringing down this country and he plans on taking the NXT title and ends saying there will be no more Bo (he’s got my vote). Bo makes fun of Cesaro’s US title reign, well at least he’s still on WWE TV Bo. I guess the main event is Cesaro vs. Bo. I hated Bo here such a goofy idiot.
Alicia Fox vs. Paige in Semi-Finals of Women’s title tournament: Tie up to start and Paige gets a school girl and then a headlock but Fox gets out with a head scissors leading to a nip out and back to the headlock by Paige. Very slow mat wrestling here until Fox pulls the hair to escape to the outside. Paige backs Fox into the corner and delivers a whole bunch of elbows, she runs in but Fox does the splits on the top rope and gets a sunset flip followed by a low kick and a Northern lights suplex for a 2. Fox throws Paige into the turnbuckle twice and stamps on the hand which leads to a snapmare and chinlock. A nice back elbow for a 2 by Fox after Paige fights out and back to a chinlock with a knee strike being added, I love things like that as why wouldn’t you deliver more punishment in such a hold? Paige comes back with a jawbreaker, a scream and a hairmare. A series of knees on the apron from Paige but Fox gets a dropkick when she gets back in for a 2, a low kick from Paige and she hits her finisher the Paige Turner for the 3. Paige advances to the finals. A really good divas match here, NXT is the only place where the women seem to get a chance to shine it seems. Winner: Paige
We get a “don’t try this at home” ad from Zack Ryder, at least he’s getting some TV time I guess.
Andy Baker vs. Conor O’Brian w/Rick Victor: I think they don’t trust Conor as a singles wrestler so they put him back in a tag team although Conor is in a singles match right now. Conor hits a series of shoulder blocks and does his hang on headlock takedown (3 of them). Andy gets some strikes but Conor no sells, an iffy flapjack and a leg drop to the back of the head for the 3. Take that Hogan! Meh this was what it was and t wasn’t much. Winner: Conor O’Brian
Backstage Renee is with Adrian Neville and Corey Graves, she says that Kassius was attacked last week and can’t compete. Corey says you have to be ready for anything and there may be one person who can fill his place. Neville asks for Regal to come help them take the family out. Back to the arena and oh boy Sylvester LeForte is here, I don’t understand one word he says but he introduces Scott Dawson even the commentator mentions that Sylvester is hard to understand so why make him a talker?
Scott Dawson vs. Xavier Woods: Let’s see if Scott is better as a singles star. Tony (the commentator) calls Woods the Quintessential Showmen and I liked that because Quintessential is my favourite word. Fans behind Woods from the start. Tie up leads to Scott hitting punches and kicks in the corner, Woods floats over and then gets a boot up and a sick chop followed by an atomic drop and another chop for a one. Woods attempts a back suplex but Scott punches out he misses a clothesline and gets hit with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Dawson comes back with a forearm, Woods is on the apron and gets distracted he attempts to float over but Scott sweeps the leg mid jump and Woods falls out hitting his face on the apron, a bit hard to accept since he was jumping at the time and Scott sweeped now if he had pushed back that would have been believable. “Dawson Sucks” chants I agree, he pulls Woods over the ropes by his hair and drills him to the mat. Back elbow and leg drop for a 2 followed by more strikes and a chinlock. Woods fights back with a jawbreaker and a European uppercut, starts fighting back with dropkicks, hits his Honor Roll and Lost in the Woods (Sole Food) for the win. Woods has a lot of high to him while Dawson doesn’t. Winner: Xavier Woods
Promo from Bray Wyatt. He says people stopped being human when they became beasts and that happened when they started judging people like him by the way they look, act and feel. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing and if you could see the monster you’d know why you had just peed yourself (yep that was part of it). His beasts walk upright and they gave you a choice. The end is coming and all that will be left is chunks of meat. A good promo from Wyatt as always and I different cover everything he said here.
We come back to Enzo Amore w/ Colin Cassidy talking about how he’s a stud. Mason Ryan is already in the ring. Fans are with Enzo in his promo showing how much Mason has fallen.
Enzo Amore vs. Masoln Ryan: Enzo runs into a punch and Ryan wins. Enzo calls that crap and he wasn’t ready, he sends in Colin and we have another match. Mason ducks a clothesline and hits 2 clotheslines, he yells to no reaction and hits a cobra clutch slam for the win. Ryan just comes off so silly just yelling and flexing his muscles, I know this was done to make him look great but I think people just aren’t into him Winner both time: Mason Ryan
Antonio Cesaro vs. Bo Dallas(c) for NXT Championship: Cesaro has the “We the people” flag. Fans boo Bo the moment his music plays, no one likes him and I just want him to go away, he’s just got this greasy slimball look to him and he over plays his babyface. Fans chant “No more Bo” I’m not alone it seems and then fans chant “We the People”. Cesaro gets a backslide from a tie up but Bo gets a school boy soon after. Bo gets a firemen’s carry and an arm bar. Female fans chant for Bo while everyone asks for “No more Bo” extremely Cena-esc here. Cesaro gets a headlock during which the commentator mentions that one of Bo’s heroes is John Cena, so he must love the situation he’s in. Cesaro powers Bo down with a shoulder block and back to a healock. Bo gets a dropkick for a 1 and Cesaro comes back with his trademark European uppercut. This was a great spot Cesaro was down by the ropes and Bo went for a running kick, Cesaro ducked and school boy’d him through the ropes to the outside I’ve never seen that before. Cesaro throws him back in for a 2 and we go to break. We come back to a chinlock and Leo Kruger is out on the ramp. Cesaro hits a knee lift and a stiff clothesline for a 2, no chance for Bo to fight back. Cesaro with a running football kick to the back to “One more time” with Cesaro teasing it but locking on a chinlock, trying to make himself a heel but it failed. Bo gets cut off again but starts fighting back with forearm and a running mafia kick to the side of the head, leading to a splash in the corner and bulldog for a 2. Cesaro breaks from a irish whip and locks on the chinlock again but Bo fights out and floats over a body slam attempt into a reverse DDT. Bo goes for the run up bulldog but is crotched on the top rope and Cesaro drags him across the rope. Cesaro hits a Gut Wrench Superplex for a near fall. Cesaro off the 2nd rope with a knee, he got good distance for another near fall. Cesaro relocks the chinlock and swings Bo around they go down and Bo rolls the hold into a pin in a nice spot but it’s 2. Cesaro hits a fall away slam but he holds on into a pin for 2. Cesaro with mounted forearms and a big stomp, Cesaro then goes to the top rope but Bo runs up and gets an arm drag, don’t tell Kurt Angle or his Twitter will get “hacked”. Both men are down after that and as both men get up Leo jumps on the apron, Cesaro runs in but Bo moves leading to Leo & Cesaro bumping into each other and Bo gets his belly to belly for the win to loud boos. Leo then attacks from behind for cheers and chants, Leo hits a weird face plant but Cesaro hits a European on Leo and then attacks Bo with a big double stomp but Bo starts fighting back leading to Leo coming back in and both men attack Bo. Sami Zayn runs in to attack Cesaro and the 2 clear house. I guess we’ll get a tag match from here, seems they have high hopes for Sami already. Winner and still champion: Bo Dallas
I think as much as I don’t like Bo it’s very much the John Cena thing of whether you like him or not the guy rarely wrestlers in front of silence and he gets a reaction, now it’s the wrong reaction but it’s a reaction. I’m not surprised Cesaro didn’t win as I think he’s got bigger plans in WWE or at least I hope he is my pick to win one of the Money in the Banks. But back to the show the opener and the main event were both great matches and everything in between at least had meaning. A better show than last weeks in my opinion and again nothing was made official for next week but a lot was teased so I’m interested to see what they will do.
